The department of Freedom Struggle and Diaspora Studies of IGNOU has open positions of two full-time consultants. As per the notification of IGNOU, full-time consultants will be hired on monthly remuneration between the range of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 60,000.

Important Details:

• Qualification/Selection Criteria (Basic): The candidate must be Ph.D with a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in disciplines like:

• • Modern Indian History 
  • Hindi
  • Geography 

Also, there must be of at least two years of PhD research experience. 

• Preferred Qualifications: These qualifications/experience are not mandatory but will help you in standing out from the crowd. 

• • Experience in data collection from archives, libraries, and newspapers. 
  • Translation experience from Hindi to English or English to Hindi along with experience in Editing from Hindi to English. 
  • Making maps 

The candidates must apply before 22nd October 2021 and as per the notification of IGNOU, the initial appointment will be for 6 months and then the term may increase to two years, depends upon the performance.
