IGNOU M Com program through the online mode is available for the students and the working professionals. The program fee for the 2 years duration is 18,000/- rupees and applicants can pay it in instalment format of 9,000 rupees. The fee can also be paid in one time but for students convenience and comfort there are fee break up parts available by the university. Examination fee is excluded from the course fee, also students for each subject need to pay 200/- rupees. The registration amount is 300 rupees.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduation

Admission to the Online M.Com. programme is open to graduates of any discipline or equivalence from a recognised university. The School of Management Studies, the world's largest business school in the Open Learning System, created the IGNOU MCom to provide students with the conceptual, entrepreneurial, and analytical abilities needed to manage commercial operations, particularly in international business. The programme concentrates on the practical aspects of business operations. IGNOU provides Online MCom courses in four specialties, each with its own cost structure.

Course Duration

2 to 5 Years

IGNOU allows working professionals to continue their higher education while continuing to work. As a result, IGNOU allows two extra years to be added to the M.Com term, which might be a three-year degree. Admission Procedure 2023

Admissions for the programme are held twice a year, in the months of January and July. IGNOU offers MCom Online courses in four specialisations. The course lasts two years and can be finished in five years. The IGNOU MCom program's main goal is to provide students with the conceptual, entrepreneurial, and analytical abilities they need.

Syllabus

MCom General, MCom in Finance and Taxation, MCom in Business and Corporate Governance, and MCom in Management Accounting and Marketing Strategies are the four specialties offered by IGNOU. In order to complete the IGNOU MCom course, students must complete 12 subjects totaling 72 credits, which include 6 core subjects and 6 subjects relating to the specialty. The University uses a modular method. If a student successfully completes the first segment of a specialisation, he or she will be given a Post Graduate Diploma in that speciality.

Placements

The M.Com programme at IGNOU is designed for individuals with a commercial background who need to pursue higher-level studies in addition to their profession. In contrast to IGNOU M.Com, IGNOU M.Com encourages supplementary learning or even applying for a PhD in the subject for a doctoral degree. The IGNOU M.Com programme is a learner-centered programme because it is a distant and open learning programme. Students will take an active role in the learning and teaching process. Printed Material

The university sends each student the written material for all of their courses, which comprises 4-6 books. The cost of the books is included in the course fee. These books were created by the university's expert facilities with the help of a team of experts from traditional universities, management institutions, and professional managers from around the world. These books have been designed in a self-instructional format to help distant learners.

Online Study Material

IGNOU also has an online version of the study material for individuals who do not want to use the paper version. Students who have been accepted into the course can access the course materials online. Students can download these books through IGNOU's app and access them at any time.

Individual Counseling

Counseling sessions are offered to students in IGNOU study centres, which are conducted by the Study Center Coordinators. There are six counselling sessions for each subject, which are usually arranged on weekends, i.e. Saturday and Sunday.

Assignments

Each course will have only one assignment worth 100 points (weightage of 25 percent ). All of the assignments for each semester are collected in one booklet that you will receive with your course materials and will also be available on the IGNOU website. The university has set the final date. To avoid any form of restraints before the end-of-term examination, every student must submit the assignment before the deadline at the local study centre.

End of the term Exam

Term-end examinations are held twice a year at the University, in June and December. Only once the minimum period of study prescribed for the course of study has elapsed can the student take the test. Students must fill out an examination form and pay a fee in order to participate in the term-end examination. The IGNOU website is where the online examination form is filled out.
