The total fee payable for BBA retail management course is Rs 27,200 and for the BBA service management is Rs 60,000. This fee can be payable semesterly or yearly according to the course structure. Eligibility Criteria

10+2 Passed

To be eligible for the BBA programs at IGNOU one has to be 10+2 passed from a recognized board. Though IGNOU offers numerous BA specializations, the eligibility criteria for every branch remains the same. The specializations of BBA consist of all the important topics in the two specializations i.e. Retail and Service Management. IGNOU BBA has no age limit. Students irrespective of their age can join the course of their choice. The BBA program is designed keeping in mind the current scenarios of society.

Course Duration

3-6 Years

IGNOU allows working professionals to continue their studies and continue working. That’s why the duration of BBA, which generally is a 3-year course, IGNOU allows 3 more extra years to complete the course. This means the maximum duration to complete the BBA program at IGNOU is 6 years where 3 years is a minimum. The flexibility and affordability of the program at IGNOU make it the perfect program for individuals who want to learn more along with the jobs. The program is best suited for the students who want to aim for the civil service examination and start preparing for it after they pass out 10+2.

Admission Procedure 2024

BBA admission at IGNOU is taken in two ways - Direct and Sponsored. For direct admission, the candidates need to take the personal interview round and the sponsored admission is for the employee of any retail company. IGNOU has begun the registration process for the new admission cycle for the July 2024 session. The last date to apply online for this session is 31st July. Students can apply for various bachelor’s, master’s, diploma, postgraduate diploma, and certificate courses (both program and honours courses).

Student Contact Program

Attend to academic and administrative queries pertaining to other than the above such as registration, examination, assessment, feedback etc.Organise one-time Viva-voce on the work, you write in the Workbook given to you for Internship and On the job training for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year respectively.

Teaching Methodology

Provision of audio-video, teleconferencing, radio-counselling facilities at the Study Centres for listening/viewing and interaction.Provide facilities for reference purposes at the Study Centres/Regional Centres and IGNOU HQ.The framework of the Open University is more student-driven and the learner participates actively in the process of education.

Assignments

Receipt and evaluate assignment responses and Workbook submitted by you and return the same with marks and feedback on assignments and feedback on the Workbook you would be writing. Assignment holds 30% of the total marks in the final term-end marks. It is necessary to present assignments before the due date in order to avoid any limitations during the term-end exams.

Term-End Exams

A term exam is held twice a year at the University, in June and December. You'll be able to take the exam once you've completed your course. The term-end exam is the most critical aspect of the assessment process, with a 70 percent weighting on the final result. Before the deadline, you must complete and apply for the examination form.

Consultation

In distance education, face-to-face contact between students and their tutors is important. The aim of this conversation is to answer some questions and address any issues that cannot be addressed by other means of communication. It also aims to provide you with the opportunity to meet other students. There are experienced university counsellors in the study centres who can provide advice in the course which you have applied for.
