The MCA program from IGNOU University is affordable and the learning pattern is qualitative for the students and the working professionals. Program is offered for a 2 years duration and students will have 4 semesters in total where each semester the fee is 12000/- rupees and the total amount is around 48,000/- rupees. The fee is only for the course offered to the students.The registration examination fee is excluded from the existing one.The registration fee is 300/- rupees and the examination fee is 200 rupees per subject. Students for the fees have an instalment basis option as well as if a student wants they can pay the full amount in one go.

Eligibility Criteria :

Students who wish to pursue MCA from IGNOU need to fit in the eligibility criteria to be able to apply for the course. The eligibility criteria for IGNOU MCA is that applicants need to be graduates from a recognized university with 50% or more. If the graduation is in a similar discipline then it would help the applicant more as he/she will already be aware of the basics of the discipline. Applicant should also have their 10+2 from a recognized board. Course Duration :

2- 5 years

Students for the MCA program have a minimum of 2 years and maximum of 5 years. The flexible duration assessment helps students to resume their educational journey within 5 years of time. Many times a student or working professional completes their 1st year and due to some circumstances he/she is not able to proceed with the next year then they can skip the study for next 2 to 3 years as the maximum course duration is 5 years. Admission Procedure 2024 :

IGNOU conducts the admissions for distance MCA course twice a year for the January and July sessions. Indira Gandhi National Open University admission open for July 2024, students interested can apply till the last date according to IGNOU guidelines. Twice a year, in June and December, the University conducts a term-end examination for the Distance MCA course. Students are required to fill in the examination form along with a fee if they wish to attend the examination. The online exam form must be completed on the website of IGNOU.

IGNOU also offers students online content in a variety of formats. The test material is an e-book version of a print study material. Evaluation

Educational evaluation for the MCA program is through course pattern and structure where the assignments are the compulsory submissions that a student requires to complete. 30% of weightage is provided to the students. Accordingly, students for the examination are required to pass the examination where passing marks is a must for the students. For the examination part the 70% weightage is provided. The evaluation is done through the accuracy maintenance, there is no leniency practised by university.

Semesters Examination

For the examination students need to appear for the 4 semesters and all the semesters have particular subjects where students need to solve the answers and accordingly students are obtained marks. For the examination students need to follow all the instructions before entering the examination hall.
