The total fees for the complete part-time B.Tech course at IGNOU is only INR 20,000. IGNOU offers part-time education with affordable fee structures to help students who can not afford the expensive regular B.Tech courses due to financial problems. The course is offered in the specialisation of Civil Engineering (Construction Management) only. There are four modules in this course. After successfully completing all the modules, the students will be eligible for advanced jobs in construction management.

Eligibility Criteria

3 Year Diploma

To be eligible for the part-time B.Tech Civil (construction management), applicants must have completed a three-year Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Architecture, or Chemical Engineering from a recognized polytechnic institute or its equivalent. Additionally, applicants should be currently employed or self-employed in a role that is equivalent to their chosen field of study. There is no age restriction for admission at IGNOU.

Course Duration

4 to 10 Years

The general duration for a B.Tech program is four years, but at IGNOU, the maximum allowed duration to complete the B.Tech program is extended to 10 years. IGNOU specialises in offering a B.Tech program in Construction Management, specifically designed for working professionals. This extended timeframe of 10 years is provided to accommodate the busy schedules and flexible routines of working individuals. The course comprises eight semesters and includes practical exposure opportunities.

Admission Procedure 2024

There are two admission sessions conducted in a single year. One is conducted in July and the other in January. The procedure is easy and can be completed online. Syllabus
