IGNOU has notified on X (previously Twitter) that admission registration for new admission for the academic session of January 2024 has been extended till March 31. Students who are willing to enroll in the January 2024 academic session can now apply till March 31. Interested students can visit the official website ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in to complete registration.

Firstly the last date of registration was set to February 29 which was extended by IGNOU till March 10, then March 20, and now re-extended to March 31. 

Students can follow these steps to complete their Registration-

• Step 1: First visit the official site of IGNOU– ignou.ac.in
• Step 2: Click on ‘Register Online’ which will be redirected to the ‘Fresh Admission’ page.
• Step 3: Select the ‘New Registrations’ tab
• Step 4: Carefully fill in the required registration details.
• Step 5: Students will receive login details on the registered mobile number and email, students can log in and fill out the required details 
• Step 6: Choose and select the desired program.
• Step 7: Fill out the required details and select apply.
• Step 8: For future reference, students can save the form.

Students should keep the following things handy before registration-

• Scanned Photo and Signature (Not more than 100 KB)
• Scanned copies of documents with appropriate educational qualifications (Not less than 200 kB)
• A scanned copy of the relevant experience certificate, subject to availability (Not more than 200 KB)
• Scanned copies of categories certificate  if candidates belong to SC/ST/OBC/EWS categories  (Not more than 200 KB)
