Admission Criteria for Indian Students (2024)

The eligibility criteria of the IGNOU Distance MBA course are needed to fulfil to get admission. These eligibility criteria are as follow:

- Candidates should have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.

- Candidates of General Category must have completed graduation with 50% or above marks.

- However, the reserved category candidates have an exemption in the terms of marks. They must score 45% or above marks at graduation level.

- All the candidates need to clear the entrance exam (OPENMAT Aptitude Test) conducted by IGNOU with a good score to get admission.

- There is no age restriction to get admission to any management course.


Admission Criteria for Foreign Students (2024)

IGNOU also welcomes students from Foreign countries to get admission to the management courses offered by the School of Management Studies. The eligibility criteria to pursue the IGNOU Distance MBA Course for foreign students are as follows:

- The students must have a valid student visa for the minimum duration of the Distance MBA program (2 years).

- The admission of such students is processed by the International Division of IGNOU after confirming their antecedents from the Ministry of Human Resource Development or Ministry of External Affairs.The fee structure of Management courses for foreigners is also different from the India Residential Students.
