Printed Study Materials

Although the institution offers online MBA courses, the university meets the self-study requirements of all its students. Students can ask for printed materials for study to be submitted to the address on the application form. When students want printed materials, at the time of admission they must pay an additional cost.

Online Study Material:

IGNOU offers a range of digital self-study resources to students. The eGyankosh portal, a book and research paper repository, is available to students. In addition, you can search and upload PDF books in your own mobile app at IGNOU. The IGNOU e-content app is a smartphone application for Playstore online learning materials.

Weekend Counselling

In order to discuss the institution and the programmes, IGNOu offers weekend advice or introductory sessions for students. For six weeks, students will participate at their local centre for weekend counselling.

Audio and Visual Lectures:

IGNOU has made tremendous progress as compared to the olden days. The university has the facilities of audio and visual lectures and students can attend such lectures on the following platforms:

• Broadcasting Via DD1, All India Radio
• Screening of Lectures at Study Centers
• Recording which can be purchased
• Live Lectures on platforms like SWAYAM etc.

Radio Lectures:

In partnership with All India Radio and Phone-In Services, IGNOU organises a number of interactive sessions. The curriculum is introduced through Gyankosh, GyanDarshan, Gyanvani and a number of additional programmes.

Assessments

At IGNOU, a student's performance will be assessed through exams and assignments. As tasks, students will be given questions to answer as well as practicals to perform. Students are expected to excel in both their schoolwork and their term-end tests.

Assignments

In order to be considered for the final exams, IGNOU will accept assignments from the students of all courses and shall be held on time. The IGNOU Official website includes courses as well as the due dates for each topic. 30% of total work is carried out by IGNOU and monitoring of students is necessary. Students can apply for bursaries online or at a local facility.

Examinations

Twice a year, in June and December, the exams are conducted by IGNOU. Exams make up 70 per cent of the grade of each student, and pupils who do not pass the test can apply again in the following grade. In December, for example, if you failed the examinations in June.
