Eligibility Criteria

Graduation

Students must have at least a bachelor’s degree from a UGC accredited university to take part in an MBA Strategic Finance in the distance mode. Students must also ensure that they have achieved a minimum grade of 55 per cent. If they have the relevant qualifications, the candidates would be able to take the IGNOU MBA Entrance Exam.

Course Duration

2-5 Years

The minimum duration of distance MBA Strategic Finance is 2 years, however, this duration can be extended to 5 years. Students get a time period of 5 years in total to pass all the exams.

Admission Procedure 2024

If you wish for an MBA in Strategic Finance via open and distance learning, you have to pass the IGNOU OPENMAT which is a common entrance exam conducted by the university. In the beginning, visit the official IGNOU website and register for the OPENMAT exam which is a common entrance test for all management applicants. Students must register on their own on the IGNOU website for an OPENMAT test, fill out a registration form, download the admit card and take the examination. After passing the OPENMAT exam you must complete an application form and submit the appropriate website documents. Using any digital payment option, students on the IGNOU website can pay for their lessons.

Syllabus

The curriculum of IGNOU is built up by the experienced teachers of the institution. IGNOU was approved by the University Grants Board. IGNOU gives students a choice of digital tools. Students can access the study material and research repository; the portal eGyankosh. You may also search and download PDF books with the IGNOU Mobile app. This IGNOU application for e-content is a Playstore online study smartphone application.

Weekend Counselling

In order to explain the university and the programmes, IGNOU offers weekend classes or introduction meetings to students. Students receive six weeks of weekend counselling at their local centres.

Audio and Visual Lectures

IGNOU has made tremendous progress as compared to the olden days. The university has the facilities of audio and visual lectures and students can attend such lectures on the following platforms:

Radio Lectures

IGNOU hosts a number of interactive sessions in collaboration with All India Radio and Phone-In Services. Gyankosh, GyanDarshan, Gyanvani, and a variety of other programmes are offered to introduce you to the curriculum.

Assessments

On the basis of assignments and term-end examinations, IGNOU evaluates students' performance. Students must submit their assignments before the end of the year/semester in order to sit the exam. The IGNOU portal allows students to access all inquiries about their tasks.

Assignments

In order for IGNOU students to be included in the final exams, the assignment must be done and submitted on a timely basis. The official IGNOU website provides courses and schedules for each topic. IGNOU covers 30% of the work and student surveillance is required. Students may apply for scholarships online or at a local facility.

Examinations

Exams are held twice a year, in June and December. Exams account for 70% of a student's grade in each class, and students who fail a test can reapply in the next cycle. If you failed the examinations in June, for example, you can reapply in December.
