Admissions in IGNOU for bachelor’s in library and information sciences starts from july and the last date for applying is 21st August as per the official website of the IGNOU. Eligibility for applying is applicant must be graduated with a minimum of 50 percent marks and 45 percent marks for reserved category from a recognized university, and prior experience in the field is also needed, duration of the program is 1 year, average fee of the program is Rs. 8300/- registration fee is not included in the course fee.

Eligibility for applying is applicants must be graduated with a minimum of 50 percent marks and 45 percent marks for reserved category from a recognized university, or a Bachelor’s Degree along with a one-year Diploma in Library Science. Or a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience in Library and Information Centre.

Process of registration

Follow all these steps to register for the course-

2- Fill in all your personal details such as your name, mother’s name , father’s name etc.
3- Upload all the scanned documents that are required.
4- click on the submit button after checking all your information.

The program consists of 9 courses. Among them, five courses (BLI 224, BLIE 225, BLIE 227, BLIE 228, and BLIE 229) include practical work, while the other four courses (BLI 221, BLI 222, BLI 223, and BLI 226) focus on theory.
