IGNOU Introduces Four New Courses of MBA and MCom

The Indira Gandhi National Open University has introduced four new functional specializations MBA and MCom degree programs for the students for the July 2022 session. Candidates can apply before the 31st of July, 2022. 

The new programs launched by IGNOU will be provided in distance and open learning mode. The MBA degree program will be provided through the School of Management Studies and the MCom will be delivered through the School of Commerce and Business Studies. 

Master of Business Administration (MBA) will be provided in ODL (Open and Distance Learning) mode while MCom will be provided online. Prof. Nageshwar Rao launched these courses through a ceremony that was held virtually.

Candidates who want to take admission to an MBA degree course can easily visit the official admission website of IGNOU which is ignouadmissions.samarth.edu.in. The web portal for online admission to the MCom degree course can be accessed using ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.

In an official statement, the IGNOU said that the students can now select their MBA program from any of these functional areas of specializations like MBA in Financial Management, MBA in HR Management, MBA in Marketing Management, and MBA in Operations Management. The online course of MCom will help working professionals and students to get various types of flexibility in terms of location and time for continuing their education for getting good job opportunities. 

These MBA and IGNOU MCom degree courses are introduced as a flagship program by IGNOU because of their special teaching learning qualities and special flexibilities like content quality, study materials, to date course materials that meet the expectations of all the stakeholders of this program. 

Prof Rao has said while addressing the ceremony focussing on the qualities of the programs that these courses are made and revised as per the latest requirements of the NEP 2020. Many guests attended the launching ceremony of this program. It includes Professor T V Kattimani, Vice-Chancellor, Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh, and Professor S A Kori, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Andhra Pradesh. They all appreciated the efforts the university made to cater for the needs of today’s era of boosting management education.
