The largest distance education hub of the country “Indira Gandhi National Open University” has launched a new online course in Mass Communication and Journalism under the MA degree program from Friday, the 14th of January, 2022. The course is listed for the new admission cycle of January 2022. According to the press release, the course is also available for international students to form this January session.
Vice-Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Open University has launched the online course in Journalism and Mass Communication that is included in the Humanities and arts group. The course code for the programme will be “MAJMC” which stands for Master of Arts Journalism and Mass Communication. The course is delivered virtually through various media sources and online course material. The admission procedure will also be online for the course.
According to the statement and press release of IGNOU Prof. Nageshwar Rao; Vice-Chancellor of IGNOU has introduced the online course in Journalism and Mass Communication. He said in the inaugural ceremony of this program that the “MAJMC online course encompasses all the major core areas of Mass Communication and Journalism and is holds a futuristic approach.” He added that the course will be soon available in Hindi and other regional languages too.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Indira Gandhi National Open University “Prof. Uma Kanjilal” emphasized the major characteristics of this programme and said that it will help students to become media professionals as the program holds various advantages for all types of students.
