Jobs in IGNOU 2021: Recruitment in IGNOU For Various Posts Are Open

Indira Gandhi National Open University is inviting multiple job applications for various job positions in its regional centres in the North-Easter states, Jammu and Kashmir (Srinagar), and Port Blair (Andaman and Nicobar Island). Interested candidates must check all the details and apply for any one of the job openings. 

The last date to submit online applications is September 15th and the posts for Regional Directors and Assistant Regional Directors in the regional centres will be filled on a deputation basis. 

IGNOU has released the notification to declare that appointments for Regional Directors and Assistant Regional Directors will be through the All India advertisement and the university will select candidates as per the decision by a selection committee and that will be based on the IGNOU Act and Statute that is in accordance with UGC guidelines. 

Open Job Vacancies are:

• Regional Director (North East Region): 3 for North-East Region
  • Pay Scale in the 7th CPC Pay matrix: Level 13A (Rs. 1, 31, 400- 2,17,100)

• Regional Director (Srinagar in J&K): 1 at Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir
  • Pay Scale: Level 13A (Rs. 1, 31, 400- 2,17, 100)

• Regional Director (Port Blair): 1 at Port Blair in Andaman & Nicobar
  • Pay Scale : Level 13A (Rs. 1,31,400- 2,17,100)

• Assistant Regional Director (North-East Region): 3 for North-Eastern Region
  • Pay Scale: Level 10 (Rs. 57,700- 1,82, 400)

• Assistant Regional Director (Srinagar in J&K): 1 at Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir
  • Pay Scale: Level 10 (Rs. 57,700- 1, 82,400)

• Assistant Regional Director (Port Blair): 1 at Port Blair in Andaman & Nicobar
  • – Pay Scale: Level 10 (Rs. 57,700- 1, 82,400)

Note: Candidates below the age of 55 will be preferred 

Deputation Period: The deputation period will be of 2 years at the initial stage and other benefits and allowances will as equal to Central Government employees. Also, all the terms and conditions regarding deputations of employees are based on the Department of Personnel and Training norms, Government of India.
