Printed Study Materials

Even though IGNOU offers MBA marketing, the college nevertheless meets the needs of students' self-study. Students will be able to print books and the University will deliver them in the application form at the address provided by you. At the time of admission, students have to choose a printed study material option by paying some additional fee.

Online Study Material:

For self-study students, IGNOU provides a wide range of digital options. The eGyankosh Portal is a repository for students and collects books and research work. IGNOU also has its own mobile app where books can be found in PDF format and the app can be even downloaded. The IGNOU online study application is the IGNOU e-content application which you can easily find in the Playstore.

Weekend Counselling

At weekends, IGNOU offers counselling or initiation sessions to describe the university and the course. Students will be given six weeks of weekend counselling in their nearest centre.

Audio and Visual Lectures

IGNOU has made tremendous progress as compared to the olden days. The university has the facilities of audio and visual lectures and students can attend such lectures on the following platforms:

• Broadcasting Via DD1, All India Radio
• Screening of Lectures at Study Centers
• Recording which can be purchased
• Live Lectures on platforms like SWAYAM etc.

Radio Lectures

IGNOU holds several interactive sessions in partnership with All India Radio and Phone-In Services. Curriculations are available to present you with programs such as Gyankosh, GyanDarshan, Gyanvani and many others.

Assessments

On the basis of exams and assignments, the performance of students at IGNOU is assessed. Students of every course will be able to resolve questions in conjunction with their practical tasks. Both tasks and final tests are necessary for students to perform well.

Assignments

At IGNOU the students shall be required to submit assignments to be eligible for final exams and shall accept assignments from all classes and be required to be submitted in time. Both courses and the dates of each subject can be found on the official IGNOU website. IGNOU weighs up 30% of these tasks and requires student supervision. Online or in close proximity to the Regional Centre, students can apply.

Examinations

Examinations take place every year in June and December. Exams represent 70% of the grades of a student in every class. If the examination fails, the student may apply in the next cycle, for example, if you have failed to take the examinations in June, you can apply in December again.
