The Indra Gandhi National Open University(IGNOU) has extended the application deadline for the July 2024 session again. The application date has been extended to 15 October 2024. This extension has been given to all the courses that are provided in ODL and Online modes( (except for Semester & Certificate programs). 

Earlier, the original deadline for registration to Online Distance Learning(ODL) and Online Programmes was  September 30. Students can now fill out their application forms till October 15. However, to avoid the last-minute rush, students are advised to fill out their application forms as soon as possible. 

IGNOU has shared this news regarding the application extension on X, formerly known as Twitter. `Here is the official notification of IGNOU-

Students can visit  http://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in for ODL courses and http://ignouiop.samarth.edu.in for Online courses to fill out their application forms. 

Document Required

Students interested in Online Distance Learning and Online courses must be ready with the following document before filling out the application form- 

• Latest Scanned Passport Size Photograph (Max 100KB).
• Scanned Signature of the Applicant (Max 100 KB). 
• Scanned Copy of all the Relevant Academic Qualifications (Max 200 KB).
• Scanned Copy of Experience Certificate (If Any) (Max 200 KB).
• Scanned Copy of Category Certificates (If Any) (Max 200 KB). 

Steps to Apply 

Students willing to apply for the ODL/Online courses at IGNOU can follow the steps mentioned below to fill out the application form- 

• Step 1-Visit the official IGNOU website.
• Step 2-Select the “Register Online” tab followed by “Freshb Admissions”
• Step 3-Register yourself with a valid mobile number and email ID. 
• Step 4-Login with the credentials generated after registration. 
• Step 4-Proceed to fill out the application form. 
• Step 5-Fill out the application form with the information required. 
• Step 6-Attach the documents required by IGNOU. 
• Step 7- Pay the application fee once the application form has been filled out. 
• Step 7-Download and save the application form for future reference.
