Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s degree

A bachelor's degree from a UGC-recognized university is required for students interested in pursuing a distance MBA in any concentration. Admission Procedure 2024

If you wish to study for an MBA in general management through distance learning, you must take the IGNOU OPENMAT entrance exam. For the OPENMAT examination, students must register on the official IGNOU website, fill out the registration form, download the admit card, and take the exam. After passing the OPENMAT exam, you must complete an application form and attach the necessary website documents. On the IGNOU website, students can pay their tuition fees using any digital payment option. Course Duration

2-5 Years

The distance MBA programme lasts two years and can be extended to five years in any concentration. As a result, students have a total of five years if they are unable to give or pass exams within two years.

IGNOU has a campus placement cell (CPC) that was created in 2005 to assist students with their placement. The university's placement cell organises job fairs and placements to ensure that all of the university's students, including management students, get placements.

Printed Study Material

IGNOU provides all students with written research material. However, at the time of registration Students may pick this option by paying extra fees. You can also use online materials. However, it is not obligatory to accept books.

Weekend Counselling

All students can attend immersed counselling sessions in all programmes at weekends. It is open for 6 weeks of initial sessions at every centre.

Radio Lectures

IGNOU organises a series of interactive sessions in cooperation with All India Radio and Phone-In services. To expose you to the curriculum, programmes like Gyankosh, GyanDarshan, Gyanvani and many others are offered.

Assignments

In order to be eligible for end-examination, IGNOU accepts assignments from all classes and must be submitted on time. Both course assignments and the due date of each course can be found on the official IGNOU website. IGNOU weighs 30 percent of these tasks, and students need to monitor all results. Students can apply online or at a regional centre close to them.

Examinations

Examinations take place every year in June and December. Exams make up 70% of the grades of a student in every class and if the exam fails, the student is allowed to re-apply in the next cycle, for example, if you have failed to take the examinations in June, you may apply again in December.
