Eligibility Criteria

Graduation

Any candidate wanting to pursue the distance MBA in Finance and Human Resource Management must have completed their bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. In addition, they are required to have a minimum of a 55 percent grade point average during graduation. You will be able to give the entrance exam for IGNOU's distance MBA program after you have completed the mentioned eligibility criteria.

Course Duration

2-5 Years

The distance MBA in Finance and HRM program lasts two years and can be expanded to five years in any specialization. As a result, students have a total of five years if they are unable to offer or pass exams within two years.

Admission Procedure 2024

To get the MBA degree in Finance and Human Resource Management, candidates must give the IGNOU OPENMAT entrance test. Students must register for the OPENMAT examination on the official IGNOU website, fill out the application form, download the admit card, and take the test. After passing the OPENMAT test, you must complete an application form and upload all relevant website documents. On the IGNOU website, students can pay their academic fees using any digital payment form. Syllabus

The syllabus of Distance MBA in Finance and HRM divides into 4 semesters during which you are going to learn the subjects such as Management Processes and Practices, Human Resources Management, Research Methodology, Management Information System and Computer Application, Financial Management, Consumer Behavior & CRM, Indian Financial System, Training and Management Development, etc. These subjects are specially designed to make you an expert in both fields.

Placement

IGNOU has a campus placement cell (CPC) that was formed in 2005 to assist students with their placement. The university's placement cell organizes job fairs and placement drives to ensure that all of the university's students, including management students, get placements in reputed firms.

Printed Study Material

IGNOU University provides printed study material to each student and sends it to the individuals at their current addresses which means the students are not even required to visit the centre to collect the study materials.

Online Study Material

Online study material of all the subjects is available on the egyankosh website and the official website of IGNOU. IGNOU has also developed an application to give access to online books to students.

Weekend Counselling

All students from all programs are welcome to attend interactive orientation sessions on weekends. Each subject is available for six-weekend initial sessions at each centre.

Audio and Visual Lectures

IGNOU has the facility of providing audio and visual lessons with the help of meetings on platforms like:

• Screening of Lectures at Study Centers
• Recording which can be purchased
• Live Lectures on platforms like SWAYAM etc.

Radio Lectures

IGNOU holds a series of interactive sessions in association with All India Radio and Phone-In services. You will learn about the course curriculum through channels like e-Gyankosh, GyanDarshan broadcast, GyanVani, and many others.

Assessments

Assignments and tests are used by IGNOU to evaluate students' results. The parts below provide more detail about IGNOU assignments and tests.

Assignments

IGNOU accepts assignments at all the regional centres of IGNOU and the assignments must be submitted on time to be eligible for the end-test. All assignments for each course and the due dates are included in the IGNOU Official Website. The weight of IGNOU is 30% and all outcomes must be followed up by students. Students turn to an online or local regional centre in their tasks.

Examinations

Twice a year, in June and December, the examinations are carried out. Tests contribute to 70% of each class' mark, and if he/she fails, he/she can take exams during the next cycle within the timeframe of the course; for instance, if you haven't passed tests in June, you may apply again in December.
