Eligibility Criteria

Graduation

Syllabus

Students are allowed to view the study material of all courses via the university's mobile application and can download it in PDF format. Weekend Counselling

In order to introduce the university and its programmes, IGNOU conducts weekend classes or introductory meetings to students. Students go to their local centres for six weeks to attend weekend counselling.

Radio Lectures

In collaboration with All India Radio and Phone-In Services, IGNOU organises a number of interactive sessions. Gyankosh, GyanDarshan, Gyanvani, and a number of other programmes are available to help you get acquainted with the curriculum.

Assessments

IGNOU evaluates students’ achievements on the basis of assignments and term end examinations. To take the examination, students shall submit their tasks before the conclusion of the year/semester. The IGNOU site provides students with access to all task enquiries.

Assignments

In order for IGNOU students to be included in the final exams, the assignment must be done and submitted on a timely basis. Students can find the assignments on the portal of IGNOU and will also get the submission dates. The official IGNOU website provides courses and schedules for each topic. IGNOU covers 30% of the work and student surveillance is required. Students may apply for scholarships online or at a local facility.

Examinations

Twice a year, in June and December, IGNOU conducts examinations. Exams make up 70% of the degree of each student and students who fail the test will be able to apply again in the next cycle. For example, you can apply again in December, if you did not pass examinations in June.
