IGNOU BBA Admission 2024: Dates (Released)

IGNOU has begun the registration process for the new admission cycle for the July 2024 session. The last date to apply online for this session is 31st July. Students can apply for various bachelor’s, master’s, diploma, postgraduate diploma, and certificate courses (both program and honours courses). IGNOU offers a BBA program in two specializations - Retailing (RL) and Services Management (SM). BBA in retail management admission is based on merit and interview while on the other hand BBA in Service Management admissions is based on both merit and entrance.

For BBA in retail management, admissions are conducted once a year for the July session and BBA in service management admissions are conducted for both January and July sessions. IGNOU offers BBA in service management with the partnership of Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited. This is a creative work-based degree program.

What Are The Admission Process of IGNOU Distance BBA 2024

The IGNOU Admission process can be easily summed up in the following procedure:

- Admissions are based on merit followed by an interview and will be determined by the following aspects:

  • Appearance
  • Ability to communicate
  • Attitude
  • Mental Alertness
  • General Awareness
  • Each of these carries a maximum of 10 marks

- The candidate is required to secure at least 25 out of 50 to qualify.

- After the interview, a merit list is prepared and posted on the IGNOU official website.

- Students will then be able to pick their nearest reporting centre.


IGNOU BBA In Service Management Admissions

- Admissions to the Distance and Online BBA will be taken based on interview and entrance exam.

- After clearing the entrance exam, the applicant will be invited for an interview with Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited to determine their basic knowledge.

- If the company offers the internship to the applicant after the interview then he or she can apply for the BBA in Service Management course at IGNOU.

- Candidates who are already employed can also apply for the Entrance Test, pass it, and then apply to IGNOU for admission after the permission of their employer.

- After the University confirms enrollment, the student will be assigned an enrollment number and added to the programme.


Which Are The Entrance Test for BBA (SM)

The entrance exam will be conducted online. The exam consists of 50 questions of 100 marks. The duration of the test is 1 hour. The following topics should be prepared for the entrance exam:

  • Quantitative Aptitude: 10 Questions
  • Logical Reasoning: 15 Questions
  • English Language Skills: 10 Questions
  • Information Technology Skills: 15 Questions
