The primary objective of this center is to empower the candidates of Scheduled Caste by offering them free of cost preparatory classes for the Union Public Service Commission (both Prelims and Mains.)

Features of DACE (Dr. Ambedkar Center of Excellence)

Dr. Ambedkar Centre of Excellence was set up by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India in order to help Scheduled Caste students to get their dreams of UPSC. The session is going to start for the 2023 UPSC examinations.

The varsity provides this free coaching class through dedicated and hard-working teachers and professors. IGNOU has high-quality teaching resources that imbibe the latest technologies and smart services to reach the unreached. Students will be evaluated based on the regular assignments, test series, and weekly quizzes. Smart class facilities will also be provided to every student.

Registration Open Date & Last Date

The registration procedure for the UPSC free coaching classes for SC students started on June 5 and the last date for the same is the 30th of June, 2023. Candidates can easily fill out the application form and after the same, they need to appear for the All India entrance test for UPSC coaching. Criteria of Eligibility

  1. The admissions will be conducted through an All India Entrance examination for this free training and coaching center of DACE.
  2. The entrance test will consist of about 100 objective-type questions to judge the students’ knowledge in various fields like general knowledge, general aptitude, reasoning abilities, and so on.
  3. A list of successful candidates will be prepared based on merit achieved by the students consisting of 33% reservation for women candidates.

Criteria for the Selection to UPSC Coaching Classes of IGNOU

  1. The seats for the UPSC coaching are open for the SC candidates only.
  2. The minimum eligibility criteria for taking admission are graduation from a recognized and valid university in any specialization approved by the educational university.
  3. Candidates need to submit the pass certificate at the time of the final admission procedure to the UPSC coaching classes.
  4. The selected candidates can only avail the free coaching facility only once in their academic life irrespective of the chances available to the candidate.
  5. The selected candidate should not have received any such benefit from the Government of India or any recognized institution. An affidavit should be furnished by the candidate that shows all the things in written format.
  6. The students need to submit the SC caste certificate to the university that shows their category of SC for taking free classes at UPSC.
  7. A total of hundred students will be selected for the coaching of UPSC.
  8. The attendance register of all the candidates will be maintained by their program coordinator or instructor.
  9. The complete fee will be recovered from the candidates leaving the course in the mid of the session.
